• Application: Mininert® valve may be used to seal screw-thread side-arm holding Erlenmeyer flasks containing enrichment cultures; during enrichment culture technique which was used to isolate bacteria from activated sludge, capable of degrading a wide range of aromatic hydrocarbons in mixtures, like ethylbenzene (EBZ), o-, m-, and p-xylene, naphthalene, isopropylbenzene (IPB), styrene (STYR), 1,2,4- and 1,3,5-trimethylbenzene (TMB), 2-chlorotoluene, and 1,2-, 1,3-, and 1,4-dichlorobenzene (DCB), as sources of carbon and energy.[1]
• Other Notes: The maximum temperature that Mininert Valves can be used at is 105° F. When Mininert Valves are used at high temperatures, returning them to room temperature may cause the valve to leak slightly.
