Description
- General description: Tylosin tartrate is a tylosin derivative and a medium spectrum antibiotic, which can find applications in veterinary medicine for the treatment of infections caused by most gram-positive bacteria, mycoplasmas, some gram-negative bacteria and chlamydia bacteria.[1] It can also be used as a feed additive in order to improve the weight gain and feed efficiency of cattle, poultry, turkey and swine.[1]

- Biochem/physiol Actions: Mode of Action: Tylosin Tartrate inhibits bacterial protein synthesis by binding to the 50S (L27 protein) ribosome. Antimicrobial Spectrum: This product acts against gram-positive bacteria and mycoplasma.
- Components: This product is a mixture of tylosin A, B, C, and D tartrates.
- Caution: Stock solutions should be filter sterilized and stored at 2-8°C. These solutions are stable at 37°C for 3 days.
