Description
- General description: Kaempferide is a naturally occurring, O-methylated flavonol found in Kaempferia galanga. It exhibits a variety of pharmacological effects such as anti-inflammatory, anti-viral, anti-oxidant, anti-bacterial and antitumor properties.[1]
- Application: Kaempferide may be used as an analytical reference standard for the quantification of the analyte in propolis[2] and traditional Chinese medicine Zuo Gui Wan[3] using different chromatography techniques.
