Description
- General description: 1-Methyl-2-pyrrolidinone is a polar solvent widely used in organic chemistry and polymer chemistry. On a large scale, it finds applications in the recovery and purification of acetylenes, olefins, and diolefins, gas purification, and aromatics extraction from feedstocks.
- Application: 1-Methyl-2-pyrrolidinone may be used as an eluent and extraction solvent for the extraction of soluble materials in soil samples using size exclusion chromatography.[1]
