Description

  • Application: Heavy metal immobilization and radish growth improvement using Ca(OH)(2)-treated cypress biochar in contaminated soil.: This study demonstrates the efficacy of Ca(OH)(2)-treated cypress biochar, rich in calcium carbonate, in immobilizing heavy metals and enhancing radish growth in contaminated soils, offering sustainable solutions for soil remediation (Shah et al., 2024). Liming potential and characteristics of biochar produced from woody and non-woody biomass at different pyrolysis temperatures.: This research investigates the liming potential of biochar, particularly focusing on the role of calcium carbonate in neutralizing soil acidity and improving soil health, thus promoting sustainable agricultural practices (Murtaza et al., 2024). Valorisation diagnosis of waste from the decontamination of phosphogypsum leachates through a combined calcium carbonate/hydroxide process.: This study evaluates the effectiveness of a combined calcium carbonate/hydroxide process in decontaminating phosphogypsum leachates, highlighting the potential of this method in waste valorization and environmental management (Soto-Cruz et al., 2024).
