Description
- General description: L-Ascorbic acid is the primary dietary source of vitamin C.It is mainly used in the prevention of scurvy.In animals, it is produced by the reduction of dehydroascorbic acid.[1]
- Application: L-Ascorbic acid may be used a certified reference standard for the quantification of the analyte in fruits and vegetables using high-performance liquid chromatography technique.[2]
