  • General description: Potassium chloride (KCl) is useful in studies of ion transport and potassium channels.[1] KCl is known to be used in the crystallization of histone core octamers.[2]
  • Application: Potassium chloride has been used:as a component of Danieau medium and also used in the preparation of phosphate buffer saline[3]in the preparation of electrolyte solution for electrochemical impedance spectroscopy and cyclic voltammetry measurements[4]as a component of HEPES (4-(2-hydroxyethyl)-1-piperazineethanesulfonic acid)-buffered Tyrode′s solution[5]
