- Biochem/physiol Actions: 2,3,5,4′-Tetrahydroxystilbene 2-O-β-D-glucoside induces the expression and enhances the activity of EPO. The compound stimulates mitochondrial biogenesis, and expression of hemoglobin in non-hematopoietic cells. 2,3,5,4′-Tetrahydroxystilbene 2-O-β-D-glucoside has demonstrated protective effects in cardiovascular disease and ischemia models.
