- General description: Iron(II) ethylenediammonium sulfate tetrahydrate is an iron precursor used in the synthesis of electrocatalysts. [1]
- Application: Iron(II) ethylenediammonium sulfate tetrahydrate can be used as an iron precursor salt for the synthesis of Fe/N/carbon-based electrocatalysts for the oxygen reduction reaction.[2] It is also used to functionalize multi-wall carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) with maghemite nanocrystals to enhance the magnetic and electronic properties of MWCNTs. These functionalized nanocomposites are applied for the decontamination of pollutants in water.[3]
