Description

• General description: Polystyrene-based microparticles (size: 8 μm) are a particle size reference standard, designed to determine the particle size distribution (PSD) profile of test samples.
• Application: Used to calibrate, qualify and monitor the performance of particle size analyzers, surface scanning instruments and particle counters.The polystyrene latex microbeads are also used:to characterize sizing performance in impedance-based experiments.[1]to produce PS-μbead arrays by laser-induced forward transfer (LIFT) technique.[2]as a test standard for use in aerosol testbed to measure the sampling efficiency of aerosol inlet/manifold system[3]

• Analysis Note: For every lot exact values of particle size and standard deviation are determined with an accuracy of 0.01 μm using a Coulter Multisizer.
