- Biochem/physiol Actions: Tobramycin is an aminoglycoside. Mode of Action: Binds to 70S ribosomal subunit; inhibits translocation; elicits miscoding. Spectrum of Activity: Gram negative bacteria. Not effective against Enterococci.
