• General description: Pharmaceutical secondary standards for application in quality control, provide pharma laboratories and manufacturers with a convenient and cost-effective alternative to the preparation of in-house working standards. Dibutyl sebacate is a commonly used plasticizer, which can be synthesized by the reaction of butyl alcohol and sebacyl chloride or by the distillation of sebacic acid with butyl alcohol in the presence of concentrated hydrochloric acid in benzene solution.[1]
