Description

• General description: Nimodipine is a well-known calcium antagonist and is a moderate cerebral vasodilator, in addition to being an inhibitor of cerebrovascular reactivity. It is suggested to be cytoprotective by causing a decrease in the influx of calcium into the nerve cells. It is accepted for use in the management of delayed ischaemic dysfunction and is commonlly used in the studies of brain function impairment and dementia in old age.[1][2][3]Pharmaceutical secondary standards for application in quality control, provide pharma laboratories and manufacturers with a convenient and cost-effective alternative to the preparation of in-house working standards.
