• General description: Certified pharmaceutical secondary standards for application in quality control provide pharma laboratories and manufacturers with a convenient and cost-effective alternative to the preparation of in-house working standards. tert-Butyl methyl ether (MTBE) is a gasoline additive. It is a commonly used organic solvent that can be synthesized by acid catalyzed reaction between methanol and isobutene. It is also an effective alternative to lead containing additives for enhancing the octane rating of gasoline.
