• Application: Celecoxib may be used as a pharmaceutical reference standard for the determination of the analyte in wastewater samples[1][2] and animal samples[3] by various chromatography techniques.
• Biochem/physiol Actions: Celecoxib is a non-steroidal, anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) and a cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) selective inhibitor. Celecoxib is at least 10-20 times more selective for COX-2 over COX-1.
• Analysis Note: These secondary standards offer multi-traceability to the USP, EP and BP primary standards, where they are available.
