It finds extensive use because of its phlebotonic and antioxidant properties as well as vascular protection.[1]
• Application: Hesperidin may be used as a pharmaceutical reference standard for the determination of the analyte in plant extracts,[1] fruit juices[2] and pharmaceutical formulations by various chromatography techniques.[1][2][3]
• Biochem/physiol Actions: Flavonoid phytochemical extracted from citrus species. It is the rhamnoglucoside (rutinoside) of hesperetin.
