• Biochem/physiol Actions: Teicoplanin is a glycopeptide antibiotic produced by Actinoplanes teichomiceticus that is effective against Gram-positive bacteria resistant to β-lactam antibiotics. Its mechanism of action is through inhibition of bacterial cell wall biosynthesis.
