- General description: Diallyl disulfide is an oil-soluble organosulfer compound found in garlic,[1] which is known to exert chemopreventive activity against colon, lung, and skin cancer.[2]
- Application: Diallyl disulfide may be used as a reference standard for the determination of diallyl disulfide in human breath samples after ingestion of raw garlic using gas chromatography coupled with mass spectrometry (GC-MS).[3]
