Description

  • Application: Hexadecylamine (HDA) can be used:To prepare a mixture of hexadecylamine-trioctylphosphine oxide-trioctylphosphine (HDA-TOPO-TOP) used in the synthesis of highly luminescent monodisperse CdSe and CdSe/ZnS nanocrystals.[1]As a capping agent in the synthesis of copper nanocrystals with different shapes by reducing CuCl2 with glucose.[2]As an organophilic alkylamine in organoclay in the preparation of a polyimide nanocomposite.[3]To form a membrane with vanadium oxide (V2O5/HDA) as the sensing layer of the extended gate H+-ion sensitive field effect transistor (EGFET) device.[4]As both reducing and stabilizing agent in the preparation of HDA capped Au and Ag nanoparticles applicable in surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS).[5]As a template in the synthesis of MCM-41 analog silica beads.[6]Along with lauric acid used in the preparation of cobalt (Co) nanorod superlattices with magnetic properties.[7]
