- Application: Nitrilotriacetic has been used in the preparation of nitrilotriacetic (NTA) solution for Ni-NTA slide generation.[1]
- Biochem/physiol Actions: Nitrilotriacetic (NTA) has the ability to link with histidine side chain of proteins. It can be used in fluorescent labelling, hexahistidine (His6)-tagged proteins for purification and surface immobilization.[2]
- Other Notes: Chelating agent[3]; As Pb2+ buffer, preparation and properties[4]; In a mixture of Ca2+-buffering ligands[5]; Encapsulation of radioactive metal ions in liposomes[6]; Compilation and critical evaluation by IUPAC of published data on stability constants of NTA complexes in solution[7].
