Levodopa is a metabolic precursor of the neurotransmitter dopamine[1] and is widely used in the treatment of Parkinson′s disease.[2]
- Application: Levodopa may be used as a pharmaceutical reference standard for the quantification of the analyte in pharmaceutical formulations[3][4] using flow injection spectrophotometric method[3] and 1H nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy.[4]
