- General description: Brilliant Blue FCF is a triarylmethane dye that is either used as a food or textile colorant to give blue color. An acceptable daily intake (ADI) of 12.0 mg/(kg body weight) was set for Brilliant Blue FCF in humans by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
