Description
- General description: α-Terpinene, a cyclic monoterpene commonly used as a fragrance compound, is found in various essential oils. It is responsible for the antioxidant activity of tea tree oil.[1][2]
- Application: α-Terpinene can be used as an organic reductant in the guaiacol deoxygenation to yield phenols using V2O5/Al2O3 catalyst.[3]
