Description
- General description: Lisinopril is a lysine derivative of enalaprilat[1] and belongs to the group of angiotensin converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitors.[2] It is widely used as an orally active medication in the treatment of high blood pressure and may be used to treat congestive heart failure.[2][1]
- Application: Lisinopril may be used as a pharmaceutical reference standard for the quantification of the analyte in pharmaceutical formulations using kinetic spectrophotometric technique.[2]
- Biochem/physiol Actions: Angiotensin converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitor.
