Description

• General description: Lansoprazole is an important proton pump inhibitor[1] and a substituted benzimidazole with antisecretory and antiulcer activities.[2] Its mode of action involves the suppression of gastric acid secretion by specific inhibition of the gastric H+/K+ ATPase enzyme system at the secretory surface of the gastric parietal cells.[1]Pharmaceutical secondary standards for application in quality control, provide pharma laboratories and manufacturers with a convenient and cost-effective alternative to the preparation of in-house working standards.
