Contact your local sales rep for more details.RbAOSMC from Cell Applications, Inc. were used to demonstrate that anti-restenosis drug probucol inhibition of vascular smooth cell proliferation by enhancing apoptosis and inducing heme oxygenase-1 (Deng, 2004). RbAOSMC were also used to evaluate performance of a novel pH/CO2 sensor system for measuring metabolic activity of cultured cells (Mohri, 2006); and to characterize the receptor pharmacology, antiplatelet activity, and vascular pharmacology of APD791, a novel 5-HT2A receptor antagonist (Adams, 2009).Characterization: positive for smooth muscle cell specific alpha-actin expression.

• Application: aortic wall contraction, role of smc under normal conditions, blood pressure, distribution of oxygenated blood through systemic circulation
• Components: Rabbit Smooth Muscle Cell Basal Medium that contains 10% FBS and 10% DMSO
• Preparation Note: 2nd passage, >500,000 cells in Rabbit Smooth Muscle Cell Basal Medium that contains 10% FBS and 10% DMSOCan be cultured at least 6 doublings
