Description
- General description: 3-Bromopropionyl chloride reacts with poly(ethylene glycol) methacrylate to yield brominated poly(ethylene glycol) methacrylate[1]. It causes the acylation of 4-aryl-substituted 3,4-di-hydropyrimidine(1H)-2-thiones to give bicyclic pyrimido[2,1-b][1,3]thiazines[2].
- Application: 3-Bromopropionyl chloride was used in the preparation of 1-chloro-4-bromo-2-butanone[3].
