- Application: Methyl trimethylsilyl dimethylketene acetal was used:in the synthesis of chiral β-lactams by reacting with (S)-alkylidene(1-arylethyl)amines in the presence of titanium tetrachlorideas a catalyst[1][2] or initiator[3] in the group-transfer polymerizationas a versatile reagent in conjugate addition[4] and aldol reactions[5][6].
