- Application: N-Acetylcysteamine can be used as a building block to synthesize:N-acetylcysteamine (SNAC) thioesters by reacting with various acid derivatives in the presence of 1,1′-carbonyldiimidazole (CDI). Thieno[2,3-c]pyrrole derivatives via three-component reaction of 2-acetyl-3-thiophenecarboxaldehyde and various amines.[1] Carbapenems, a class of beta-lactam antibiotic agents.[2]
