- Application: These enantiomerically pure (+)- and (−)-2,2,2-trifluoro-1-(9-anthryl)ethanols have been used for the NMR spectral determination of optical purity (and in some cases, absolute configuration) of a wide variety of sulfoxides,[1] lactones,[2][3] amines,[4] sulfinate esters,[5] oxaziridines[6] and allenes.[7]
