- Application: General applications:(1R,2R)-(+)-1,2-Diphenylethylenediamine (DPEN) is one of the widely used chiral auxiliary and ligand in the synthesis of asymmetric catalysts such as BINAP/diamine-Ru complexes for the stereoselective hydrogenation of ketones.[1]It can be used in the preparation of monosulfonyl DPEN-salt to catalyze Michael addition of various ketones to maleimides.[2]DPEN-derived chiral triazolium salts can be used to catalyze enantioselective intramolecular Stetter reaction[3] and oxodiene Diels-Alder reaction.[4]Zinc acetate complexes of DPEDA-derived ligands can also be used to catalyze hydrosilylation of imines.[5]
