- General description: Borane tert-butylamine complex is a mild reducing agent. It participates in the selective reduction of aldehydes and ketones to corresponding alcohol.[1] It takes part as a reducing agent in the synthesis of monodisperse palladium nanoparticles (Pd NPs),[2] monodisperse gold (Au) nanoparticles[3] and carbon-supported Pd electrocatalysts.[4]
- Application: Borane tert-butylamine (BTB) complex may be used as strong co-reducing agent in the following syntheses:copper (I) oxide nanoparticles[5]diphosphine-protected gold nanocluster[6]4-acetoxycinnamyl alcohols[7]
