- General description: (±)-Menthol (racemic menthol) can be synthesized via hydrogenation of citral.[1]
- Application: (±)-Menthol (racemic menthol) can be transformed to (-)-menthyl acetate by using Candida rugosa lipase(CRL) and lipase PS(from Pseudomonas cepacia) as catalysts.[2]
