- General description: Ferrous sulfate is the sulfate salt of divalent cation form of iron. It is an essential body mineral, that is commonly used in the treatment of iron deficiency anemia.[1]Pharmaceutical secondary standards for application in quality control, provide pharma laboratories and manufacturers with a convenient and cost-effective alternative to the preparation of in-house working standards.
- Application: Ferrous sulfate may be used as a reference standard for the determination of the analyte in bulk drug and pharmaceutical formulation by titrimetry[2] and spectroscopy.[3]
