  • General description: Lithium manganese(III,IV) oxide (LMO) is a class of electrode material that can be used in the fabrication of lithium-ion batteries. Lithium-ion batteries consist of anode, cathode, and electrolyte with a charge-discharge cycle. These materials enable the formation of greener and sustainable batteries for electrical energy storage.[1][2][3][4]
  • Application: Lithium manganese(III,IV) oxide, a low cost and eco-friendly cubic spinel structure, can be used as a cathode material for the formation of high-performance lithium-ion batteries.[5][6] It can also be used as a mild oxidizing agent for the production of dopaminequinone.[7]
