  • Application: 2-Propanol may be used as a solvent in the preparation of cyclic ureas by reacting carbon dioxide with diamines in the presence of pure cerium oxide (CeO2).[1] It may also be used as an alternate precursor to acetone for synthesizing methyl isobutyl ketone.[2]
