  • General description: Silver(I) oxide reacts with CO2 present in the atmosphere to afford silver carbonate. It is widely used in the preparation of ceramic pigments.[1] It participates in the Arndt-Eistert synthesis.[2]
  • Application: Silver(I) oxide may be used in the synthesis of following:(RS)-malic acid[3] 1,2-(o)-benzoquinone[4]polysubstituted cyclic ethers[5]
