- MTBSTFA derivatizes hydroxyl, carboxyl, thiol and primary and secondary amines with typically >96% yields, and the reaction byproducts are volatile and neutral
- TBDMS ethers are 104 times more stable to hydrolysis than the corresponding TMS ethers
- Addition of Thermo Scientific™ TBDMCS increases silylation potential
