- Each plate contains predefined assays and endogenous controls dried-down in the wells, ready for accurate assessment of an entire gene signature in one simple experiment
- The panel of assays in the TaqMan™ Array 96-well Human Androgens Plate targets genes which code for enzymes involved in androgen synthesis, regulators of androgen production, and receptors and signal transduction proteins which mediate their effects, and targets of androgen signaling
- The panel also includes the Y-chromosome SRY genes, which play roles in male phenotype development, as well as differentiation of the bipotential gonad into testes
- Several genes associated with the estrogen pathway are also included on the panel, as androgens are precursors for estrogens and they play many functionally related roles.
