- Application: In general, palladium(II) sulphate dihydrate is used to produce catalysts, Pd nanoparticles, and Pd complexes with potential applications in catalysis.For example: Alumina was used as a support material and PdSO4 as a palladium precursor to manufacture 4% PdSO4/Al2O3 catalyst for current lean-burn methane combustion for automotive applications[1] Furthermore, Pd(0) atoms are produced by catalysing the semi-hydrogenation reaction with remarkably high efficiency utilising PdSO4 salts with H2 in alcohol solutions, regardless of the alkyne[2]
