- Hyaluronidase is the enzyme that degrades hyaluronic acid in mucopolysaccharides to low molecular saccharides

- This enzyme splits the N-acetylglucosaminic linkages in hyaluronic acid eliminatively , yielding ▿-4,5-unsaturated tetrasaccharides and hexasaccharides as the end-product
