- Creates an environment suitable for rapid mycobacterial growth Recommended for testing sputum, stool specimens, body fluids and tissue The tube uses fluorometric technology to aid in the reading of results Under UV light, a positive test emits a vivid orange fluorescent glow at the tube base and at the meniscus; a negative test shows little or no glow The Mycobacteria can be removed from the tube for further testing To use, supplement tube with MGIT OADC Enrichment and MGIT PANTA™ Antibiotic Mixture, inoculate with the prepared specimen and incubate Tubes fit into standard procedures for decontamination and waste disposal
