• Isolate and cultivate pathogenic yeast and molds from clinical specimens with Thermo Scientific™ Remel™ Sabouraud Dextrose Agar, Emmons, with Yeast Extract
• Sabouraud Dextrose Agar (Emmons) is a modification of the original medium developed by Sabouraud in 1892 1
• Emmons neutralized the pH, increasing it to 7.0, and reduced the concentration of dextrose from 40 to 20g/L 2
• Yeast extract is added to the medium as a growth supplement

• Suitable for isolation of pathogenic fungi from a material containing a large number of other fungi or bacteria
