Description

• Isolate and identify Gardnerella vaginalis with Thermo Scientific™ Remel™ V Agar prepared plates, a medium containing a special blood agar base with 5% human blood, designed to enhance the growth of fastidious organisms
• Use the solid media V Agar Monoplate to isolate and identify Gardnerella vaginalis
• Promotes : V Agar contains the essential elements for the growth of Gardnerella vaginalis
• Easy to read : The transparent agar allows differentiation of G
• vaginalis colonies from those of commensal microbial flora (e.g., streptococci, yeasts, lactobacilli, etc.)
• Selective : Colistin, nalidixic acid and nystatin inhibit most gram-negative bacilli, yeast and diptheroids

• Casein and meat peptones supply nitrogenous compounds, carbon, sulphur and trace elements necessary for the growth of G
