• Isolate, presumptively identify, and differentiate Gardnerella vaginalis from other organisms using Thermo Scientific™ Remel™ V Agar and V Agar Selective with Starch Agar and Brom cresol Purple Biplate

• vaginalis for various characteristics including ability to produce beta-hemolysis on human blood agar and sheep blood agar 2

• vaginalis which produces diffuse beta-hemolysis, and Starch Agar with Brom Cresol Purple that ferments starch and produces acid which causes the pH indicator brom cresol purple to change color from purple to yellow in the zone surrounding growth
