• The SureTect Listeria monocytogenes PCR Assay has been validated on over 20 different matrices from broad range of food and manufacturing environments including diary, meats, seafood, vegetables and production surfaces.  All human foods and environmental materials tested during independent external validation include food types most commonly associated with contamination by Listeria monocytogenes and also those food types known to be particularly challenging to PCR detection, for example brie, smoked salmon, cantaloupe melon and salami
• Includes : SureTect Lysis Reagent 1 Tubes SureTect Lysis Tube Caps SureTect Lysis Reagent 2 SureTect Proteinase K SureTect Listeria monocytogenes PCR Tubes SureTect PCR Caps Enriched samples are pipetted into pre-filled Lysis Tubes, along with Proteinase K and lysis reagent 2, before incubation to lyse any bacterial cells present in the sample and release their DNA into the solution
• The lysate is then loaded into the SureTect Listeria monocytogenes PCR Tube to re-hydrate the preloaded PCR pellet which contains all of the necessary components and reagents for PCR, including a probe, primers and DNA template for the internal amplification control (IAC)
• The PCR tubes are then sealed, loaded into the Applied Biosystems™ QuantStudio™ 5 Food SafetyReal-Time PCR System with RapidFinder™ Analysis v1.0 software or the Applied Biosystems™ 7500 Fast Food Safety 96-well Real-Time PCR instrument, and the run started using the RapidFinder™ Express Software v2.0 or later
• After running, interpreted results are clearly displayed and can be reported, stored, printed or downloaded as required
• As with all test methods, the source, formulation and quality of enrichment medium can influence the results
