- General description: L-Cysteine hydrochloride monohydrate (LCHCMH) is a water-soluble salt of the non-essential amino acid, L-cysteine.Pharmaceutical secondary standards for application in quality control, provide pharma laboratories and manufacturers with a convenient and cost-effective alternative to the preparation of in-house working standards.
- Application: L-Cysteine may be used as a pharmaceutical reference standard for the determination of the analyte in pharmaceutical formulations by chromatography,[1] and kinetic micro determination coupled to spectrophotometry.[2]
- Biochem/physiol Actions: NMDA glutamatergic receptor antagonist.
