• General description: IgG crosses the placental barrier, is a complement activator and binds to the Fc-receptors on phagocytic cells. The level of IgG may vary with the status of disease or infection. Alkaline Phosphatase is an enzyme that catalyzes the conversion of chromogenic substrates such as p-nitrophenylphosphate (PNPP); chemiluminescent substrates such as CDP-Star® and fluorogenic substrates such as 4-methylumbelliferyl phosphate (4-MUP) into detectable chromophores, light-emitters or fluorescers, respectively.
• Specificity: Goat polyclonal anti-rabbit IgG (whole molecule)-alkaline phosphatase antibody reacts with rabbit IgG in vitro, in rabbit serum and biological fluids.
• Immunogen: pooled normal rabbit serum
• Application: Anti-Rabbit IgG (whole molecule)−Alkaline Phosphatase antibody produced in goat has been used in western blotting and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA).
• Biochem/physiol Actions: IgG1 is most abundant and its deficiency results in hypogammaglobulinemia. IgG2 deficiency increases susceptibility to bacterial infections. IgG3 mediates effector functions and IgG4 is associated with asymptomatic infection. IgG antibody have enormous therapeutic potential and the Fc region contributes for the development of therapeutic antibody.
