• General description: Human IgMs are the initial immunoglobulin isotypes that appear in blood in response to the first exposure to external antigens. These immunoglobulins have been implicated in CNS myelin repair. Increased levels of secretory IgM have been linked to rhino-conjunctivitis . Anti-Human IgM (μ-chain specific)-Alkaline Phosphatase antibody is specific for human IgM when tested against human IgA, IgG, IgM, Bence Jones κ, and λ myeloma proteins.
