- General description: This ELISA antibody pair detects human TSG-6. Other species not yet determined.
- Application: Human TSG-6 ELISA Kit has been used to determine galectin G3 and intermediate metabolites level.[1]
- Biochem/physiol Actions: Tumor necrosis factor (TNF)-α–stimulated gene 6 protein (TSG-6) has been implicated in regulation of cell-cell and cell-matrix interactions during inflammation and tumorigenesis.[2] TSG-6 possess anti-inflammatory properties.[3] It is also known to reduce inflammatory reactions triggered by ischemia in the heart. Thus, it might have a potential role in treating heart disease with other cells such as skeletal myoblasts, fetal myoblasts and embryonic stem cells.[3][4]
